As a lifelong Midwesterner, we didn&#039;t learn much about the South or West in school -- 13 colonies, Abraham Lincoln, we won the Civil War, and that&#039;s about it. It&#039;s so interesting to me to think about what else was going on, and why it matters.]]></description>
