My cousin started this restaurant. His name was Robbie. Many of the antique articles hanging on the wall came from our Grandpa who move here when he was 19 in 1886. Robbie was an restauranter who decided he wanted a slower pace in life. He started this restaurant, telling us he wanted to have a place where he could cook a few burgers…have friends in to drink cold beer, kick back and enjoy life. lol The place took off and he ended up being busier than a one legged man at a fancy dance…but he ended up being extremely happy his with little slice of peace. Thank you for such a nice write up you have given his place.

In reply to Anonymous. We have discussed a train trip, but most of our trips focus on the destination, not the traveling.

If you want adventure take a trip on the train. AMTRAK has a station in Newton Ks and it’s a lovely experience. Try and make your trip long enough to book a sleeper…they throw in 3 meals a day and snacks and drinks with that price. Its like being in a moving 5 star hotel with your own personal attendant. I love the drive to different places, but I can pay full attention on the train…plus it wheels thru the back areas of the country.

I’ve had the Burger from Hell, a few times, really love the Chile cheese fries, and I would always sit beside the beer bath!
