We drove this stretch of the coast a couple years ago and your article brought it all rushing back. That stop at Boiler Bay State Scenic Viewpoint is one we almost skipped, and now I’m so glad we didn’t. The waves crashing against the rocks there are unforgettable.

This is exactly the kind of itinerary we wish we had on our first Oregon Coast trip. We made it down to Gold Beach but definitely missed a few of these stops along the way. Guess we have a reason to go back.

I love how you mixed the scenic viewpoints with the small town stops. Depoe Bay is one of our favorite places to slow down and watch the ocean for a while. It never gets old.

This makes me want to pack up and head west immediately. The Oregon Coast has such a different feel compared to other coastal drives, and you really captured that moody, wild beauty. Adding a few of these stops to our list for next time.
