So glad you enjoyed the article. We loved our visit and enjoyed watching Taz thunder across the rim of the canyon. Thanks for giving us some background on him and the riders.

The horse running this rim is Taz, he’s a Hackney Horse, which is a rare horse breed. He is a local Amarillo rescue horse out of a Panhandle Safe Hayven Equine rescue where the founder of that horse rescue was the 1st female rider of the rim rider for the show many years ago! The riders for the 2029 season were all female as well. Taz takes his job at Texas seriously and loves all the people. He will be back for the 2020 season.
