What is still astounding and infuriating is that as we, and the rest of the world, watched the disaster unfolding in New Orleans in real time, it seemed as though the authorities must have been watching Star Trek reruns. Who can forget, “You’re doing an excellent job, Brownie.” Based on your evocative description, I would add a visit to the Presbytere Museum to any New Orleans itinerary which, IMHO, should also include The National World War II Museum.
