Hal, I’m sorry you misunderstood what I meant. I never said they were Amish, I merely mentioned that there were Amish buggies in the area, which suggested to us that it was a slower lifestyle we had arrived in. Our visit to the Amana Historical Museum gave us a basic understanding of their religious persuasion and the reason they had relocated to Iowa.

You obviously didn’t do your homework. At the start you referred to the people as Amish. These people aren’t members of any of the Amish sects. They are completely different, in terms of life style, religion, etc.
